Shibore

Shibore samples - basically fancy tie dye, mostly looks like hideous hippy tshirts, however a couple of the samples turned out a bit more contemporary with surprising beautiful colours.

V&A Hanging Out Project

last year I participated in a project ran by and for the V&A exploring youth culture in 1950s Britain. I participated in the fashion aspect of this project, making a collection of 1950s themed outfits using methods of the time. Over the summer the collection went on display to the public at the V&A, woo!

Fair enough it was hidden in a deep dark corner of the museum, but I don't care, I made something in the V&A and had my name on the wall - yay me.

Wax. Everywhere.

Me and Yasmin thought of burning down a load of candles and trying to melt them into each other would create some good imagery and shapes for our concepts of cells and growth. However, when I actually tested this theory out it created something completely different...I left the room for half an hour and returned to this mess all over my dinig room table and the surrounding floor...

starting to realise why my parents hate me working at home...

Wellcome Collection

I visited the Medicine Now and Medicine Man exhibits at the Wellcome Collection in Euston to gather some more visual research. I found some interesting sculpted pieces taken from the image of a brain scan.
